I was awake before 8am. We had our breakfast delivered to the room. There is a small table by the window with a sweet view of the neighborhood. I showered and packed one last time! I am looking forward to getting back but I’ve had a great time this month in Peru. It was not a relaxing or restful trip. It was an adventure of a lifetime. We are so very fortunate to have to opportunity to have this unique experience. Everyone along the way was generous and kind. This trip was better than I could have imagined. It tested us in many ways and through the challenges made us even better travelers. We made so many new friends and I know we will see many of them again, some how or some way.
The driver came before 10 am. We breezed through security, etc at the airport. No Covid test, just a health questionnaire to get back into Mexico. We had 2 hours at the Cusco airport before our flight. I walked around a bunch before we left. This flight is 3 ½ hours and Panama city to Guadalajara is 4 hours. That’s a lot of sitting on planes and at airports. I need to get out my restless energy in advance! Tony our Uber driver will pick us up at the airport at 11:30pm and we hopefully will be back home in Ajijic by midnight. I bet Gypsy will be happy to see us!
